I really enjoyed this! I hated when Aang condemned Katara for seeking revenge in the show. He never understood her on that level and never did. However, Zuko understands entirely and instead of judging her, he sided with her no matter what she chose. That's the difference between Aang and Zuko. Aang is supposed to be the Avatar, seeing everyone's point of view, but his perspective is always seen as superior, which is one of the show's many flaws (courtesy of Bryke writing that part). But Zuko acknowledges and is probably one of the only people who have ever seen Katara's dark side. It's very intriguing.

I loved reading this. It didn't feel weird or really out of character. It felt natural and was amazing to read. A plus, for sure. :)
