Write it out - nice approach!

Still reeling from last night's 100th episode! This was a nice glimpse into what goes on between them. Love the intimacy of him sharing his work right away and her not wanting to know the spoilers.

That didn't even occur to me; but yeah, you're right, Petar probably was Sophia.

And yeah, they still need to talk things over/out, talk in the first place, but Castle shares his view with her beforehand and Kate accepts it as a way of being told things. So it should work out well.

This was so quietly poignant that it almost brought tears. I especially love how sensitive Kate is becoming to his needs and you captured her awakening perfectly. Glad I happened upon it b/c for some reason didn't get an alert for it.

I absolutely loved that!

I loooove that you have Kate translating Rook's actions into Castle's feelings. I'm still a little surprised they've never touched on that on the show, because those books are like a blueprint of his feelings. And the part where Kate says to herself that she hates talking about things, because she always feels like she does it wrong and makes it worse, that's such a good insight into her character. I think it's very, very hard for people who want to talk things through to realize that some people just can't, that they aren't trying to be difficult, they just can't. So to have them communicate through his writing is perfect. And the line about how he is glad she reads, guh. Lovely, lovely.:)

This was very sweet.

I enjoyed how you had Castle so in the zone when he was writing that he forgot about calling Kate. She was a little peeved but when she knew that he was writing, Kate understood.

I also liked that Rick was able to share with Kate what he was working on, making sure it was spoiler free. What impressed me with what you had him write was that he used a bit of his own life and give it to Nikki. Kate was certainly surprised by that but it showed how Rick works through his own things. Plus it made Kate see that they are similar in ways. It also makes Kate understand him more, which as you said in the story was a gift.

So, I think Rick's super powers are his words, the printed ones because Kate knows first hand how they can affect someone.

The ending was nice. Excellent job.

I really enjoyed this. I liked Kate wanting to know more about Castle but realizing that he had trouble opening up too sometimes.

Kind of makes me want to go back and reread the Nikki Heat books (well maybe not the first one).

I'd want to kill someone for waking me at 2 am to read. Otherwise, very nice.
