Yeah, the Blue Fairy tried so hard to stop the Dark Curse that she did not think of anything better than putting Rumple in a magical prison (not particularly reliable to be truth)... three hundred years later (plus or minus) from the moment she found out that Rumpl conceived...
She could easily stop the curse though... if she just helped Rample... or Regina, or Snow White and her prince (like really help them).

I find it strange that neither Neil nor the Charming clan did not bother to pay attention to the little annoying details. Such as if the dear Blue Fairy told a certain boy about the Kiss of True Love instead of her machinations with magic beans, things could go completely different (because, unlike the beans, this way would allow Rample the right time to prepare)... Or if she told him about that tree. Or just help him find another way. Or I could help Regina (who, by the way, steped on her pathn with her eyes wide open)... Or use another carpenter (one might think Geppetto is absolutely and the only carpenter in the entire Enchanted Forest), or just explain to him that his little boy just that - a little boy, and sending two children alone, to foreign lands has all the chances of ending badly for them... This is not to mention her preferred position of inaction, which forced even Snow White and her prince to call upon the Dark One from time to time... There's too much of it to just be accident mistakes from someone who declarate their desire to rid the Enchanted Forest of the Dark One (I'm not going to delve into the next season, because they do not participate in your story)...
Although no, I do not find it strange. After all, Rumple is a villain. And not just a villain but a Dark One, hence of course everything is all his immediate fault. So why bother?
You've done a good job with your characters. They are very similar to their originals from the show... Well for the most part (Regina, Cora a few more, but I believe that this is due to changes in the curse).

I really enjoy this story. I hope you continue it soon.
