I love the idea of little Link and little Zelda being friends and devoting themselves to acting out a G-rated version of the story that we all know they'll live when they're older.

I love this story! Or I guess legend in this case. It depends on who you ask. Um... This kind of reminds me of when I use to play around with a friend of mine. It was a long time ago though. But it was fun pretending that I was a princess and he was the hero. Even before I played Zelda games I would play like that. Now days I've been reading fan fictions like this that remind me of those days. Please continue your work in wrighting these stories.
