I really love this oneshot between Rum and Emma. I always thought despite his grey-area alliances, Rumple always respected Emma, Charming, Snow, and Henry, and did generally like them. I mean, on "Tiny" despite his earlier threat, he was sincerce in telling David that he would protect Emma and Henry, because he does value family, and both Snow and Charming, along with Emma, are some of the few people in his long life, that Rum has ever asked for advise. Plus, he has always shown a particular caring for Henry's wellbeing, even helping him and not demanding a price for it. I also like how Emma feels empathy with him, because like Rum, she had a romantic partner who lefted her and their child, and she was forced to make some very hard decisions concerning her son's welfare, which she hated to do.

And I like the Captain Swan hints, and the fact that I get the impression Rum is completely amused by it, and his downright surprise that Hook is still trying to avenge Milah, when he's clearly in love with Emma, far more than his ever was with Milah. To be honest, I think Rum definitly thinks Hook's taste in women have improved in the last 300 years, when comparing Emma's character and strenght with Milah's selfishness. In all, great work.
