OldFashionedGrl chapter 9 . 2/18/2014
What a lovely story. You did a beautiful job creating the young Cora and Robert. I love the way you played out Robert's slow realization that he did love Cora. I enjoyed revisiting this final scene too. Beautiful ending even if it is borrowed. Looking forward to reading more of your work.

alittlebookish chapter 3 . 3/9/2013
"Robert thought his heart might have skipped a beat. He knew what it cost her to say it, knowing he couldn't say it in return.

Yet, after she said that, she added, beginning to smile, "Enamored." She kissed his cheek. "Smitten." She kissed his temple. "Besotted." She kissed his chin. "Enchanted." She kissed his neck…."

this is just awesome! or better, terrific fun!
WhatsABriard chapter 9 . 3/7/2013
""Because my own happiness depends upon yours. I can't be happy if you're not, my love," he whispered."

That was just ridiculously sweet. I mean hot, because SCARVES and NAUGHTY, but also just so much sweetness. I've always loved Cora's boldness in the final scene, the easy way she nettles him about being a fortune hunter. The fact that he seemed so concerned that he had put all that business to rights long ago - I loved them so for that.

Beautiful, wonderful, perfection. *happy sigh*

GorgeousMerylstreep chapter 8 . 2/27/2013
OMG! What a way to wrap it up darling! I honestly felt as if my heart was going to burst with happiness while reading this chapter. Perfect doesn't even begin to describe how absolutely perfect this chapter and whole story is :) And that poem! My god! It fit so perfectly! It's like it was written specifically for this purpose! You've truly outdone yourself Angie darling!
ModernAmericanGirl chapter 9 . 2/26/2013
Just picture me going "AWWWW" out loud, because that is exactly what I did like three times while reading this chapter.

Such a clever idea, connecting it to that scene from the show. It's one of my favorite scenes and now I love that I have a little backstory to think of every time I watch it. And I always suspected that there was some more conversation after he blew out the candle :)

Thank you for such an awesome story. I've loved reading every chapter!
ModernAmericanGirl chapter 8 . 2/26/2013
Firstly, I love the chapter title so very much. It's fitting and very sweet.

"Cora, I can't do this when you're doing that." Hee Hee Hee. Robert, you make me giggle :)

One of the other things I love is the interaction between Robert and Rosamund. I think that his relationship progressing with Cora will also open the door for other relationships in his life to mature a bit. He's no longer the teenager that went blindly into marriage. (Sorry for the lame reference, but...) His eyes are open now! I think he will start to see everything around him differently, and I could see that in his interactions with his sister.

And then you hit me right in the feels with that last part. I happen to love that poem, very much :)
I think it encapsulates their relationship and gives Robert a medium to express his feelings- and the depth of his feelings. You wove it into the story really well!

"Robert thought it sounded like a splendid way to live a life." What a lovely, lovely sentiment.

And I think a splendid end to a wonderful chapter!
