Wow, this was amazing! Great job. I wish we had seen this on the show. You capture the mood between them perfectly and the dialogue and interactions are so natural and believable. Really, I loved every second of it. Too bad it's only a oneshot. I totally understand Elena's uncertainty and vulnerability here and her conflicting emotions. You described them all beautifully. But of course in my head, they're now progressing from there and I'm sure in a few weeks' time they'd be together. And obviously I'd like to read that. Especially since I'm always so excited to get to read something you wrote!

solid writing as per usual and an interesting premise however this read as a fragment of a story rather than a story itself. it felt incomplete, a sentence started but not finished. you might want to consider fleshing it out if you have the time.

I don't like most of the fanfics 'situated' near 3.22 or 4.01, because they're similar... But I can't resist your writing skills :)
This is certainly not fluffy fic where Elena remembered all scenes with Damon and immediatly declared her undying love. It's different, and I like it so much!
Elena couldn't change her mind - and choice - just yet (I'm talking about 4.01-Elena-version). She needs time to understand her true feelings. And it's good enough that she's already accepted she couldn't go through all of this new-vampire thing without help of our favourite blue-eyed vamp.
