Luna Uchiha666 chapter 15 . 7/17 I gotta say, there are a few wonderful Naruto fanfics out there that have the main character adopting Naruto and going through the process of raising him like you have instead of adopting and fast forwarding a couple of years, when he gets to be in the Academy. I will admit, I shed a few tears in almost all of these chapters so far, with the deep, soul bonding between Miu and Naruto and Naruto, getting to experience, some many firsts, that he should have gone through either with his parents, or with other children and the caretakers in the orphanage! So much love was put it all of this and I know more is on the way and I cannot wait to see what you put out for us next with these so very important years between Naruto and Miu as they learn and grow together as well as with Kakashi in their lives. Keep up the awesome work you're doing here and I honestly cannot wait to read more and see what happens next with this newly forging family. |

Animephilosopher1 chapter 5 . 4/17/2018 Out of curiosity. In the long-term for this story, are you going to follow the original Naruto storyline and teams completely, or become more original? A lot of elements i note Naruto story are iconic and deeply connected to the story. But in different fanfiction stories they can also become repetitive and in some cases, boring. Some writers only follow a mold and isert tiny changes that do not make much impact on the broader story at all; or in other cases regergitate the story with no influences from the changes that they make elsewhere. Stories like Son of a Sannin, SHinobi's Creed, and The Tale of Nagato Uzumaki also remodel the Genin Teams to make their stories more original. These differences also cause the characters to change, and hold some potential with your characterization of Miu's desire to become a Jonin sensei. Are you planning to remake the canon-teams and canon events, or change up the teams and certain missions that they take to make your story stand-out more? |
Animephilosopher1 chapter 15 . 3/24/2018 Damn...Every time I read your chapters they are so moving and emotional. I'm amazed that you can create scenes in this story that can stir such powerfully empathy! I found your series around September last year, and cannot reread any of them without being moved by how impactful it is. Especially the first chapters of Naruto's abuse, his gradual connection with Miu, and the emotional distress and trauma of the attack leading to his fears of her leaving him. I literally tear-up every time I read them. You truly are an incredible writer, and it's easy to feel the emotions poured into this story. I'm very eager for a new chapter to be uploaded, and deeply enjoyed your presentation of the Hyuga clan and the evolving bond between Tsukino and Naruto. Your efforts to create an original character is also very admirable and impressive. She's relatable through her concerns for him, to the struggles she has experienced to handle everything from the villagers to Naruto's crippled emotions, and the impact that the revelations have on her. The scenes of her with the villagers around Naruto and the council's inquiry reflect how greater she is as character; like Kakashi Hatake, she is not perfect and is struggling with her own fears, lonesomeness, failures and struggles. She is not a saint, nor a demigod that can endure anything unperturbed. Even her skills and the shortcomings her sensory abilities and techniques possess are very relatable and refreshing. They show that she also can grow as the story progresses, and show that she is not among the elites despite having a respectful amount of skill in her own right. Also, she is not a full paragon, and is still barely an adult. Your depictions of her struggling to be a role-model and occupying the role of a parent despite officially being an elder sibling further reflects the flaws that make Tsukino Miu a complete and relatable character. A person rather than a literary figure. Your scene of her nightmare and guilt over leaning on Naruto to handle it, along with her insecurities over his birthday and friends, and the confession that she needed Naruto just as much as he needed her reflect this. The story is just as much about her as it is about Naruto. Even the secondary characters show great depth and development without removing the traits that are iconic to them in the canon: Anko, Kurenai, Kakashi, Hiashi, Hiruzen, the parents of Choji and Shikamaru. None of them experience excessive "bashing," and are tastefully depicted as complex character in their own rights with strong impacts on Naruto and Miu or have impacts on them in-turn, along with the story as a whole. All of these compliments are only the tip of the ice-burg. This story is one of my absolute favourites on . And you are proving to have a truly rare skill for emotional writing, rather than solely talent or creativity. I do have one criticism and one question for future chapters. The story is incredible but the pacing moves at a very slow rate. The first 13 chapters all occurred over the course of 5 days or a week. It's becoming mildly frustrating to not move the progress of the time further along, and makes the later impacts of Naruto's adoption very far-off in the future. The time-gap of two weeks in this chapter was extremely refreshing. For a recommendation, an encounter between Naruto's new family and friends with the Konoha orphanage. You last mentioned the when Hiruzen promised the caretakers would face punishment for their neglect and abuse. Yet they have not been seen or mentioned since. Additionally, you have implied that other children contributed to Naruto's suffering as well, when one of them promised him friendship and he was assaulted by a drunk mob. I am confident that I am not the only person who is anticipating a reunion between them and Naruto, with someone else intervening on his behalf to put them in their place. Especially if they do strike him...and face the consequences... There are a lot of different possibilities, but one scenario is very appealing to me: Naruto is at a park with Choji, Ino, Hinata and Shikamarua crowd of orphans come up and start bullying himhis friends stand up for him, before a caretaker comes aroundthe caretaker sees Naruto and is so obsessed with hatred they do not realize who his friends areIno, Shikamaru and CHoji are hit and the caretaker start to beat Naruto... ...then Ino, Hinata, Choji and Shikamaru's Mothers arrive The caretaker faces their maternal wrath, and the penalties for hurting the children of clan heads. Plus they teach the other orphans an extremely strong lesson about hurting other kids, especially their children and Naruto. Miu, Kakashi or the Dad's confronting the people who directly abused Naruto would be quite satisfying, but also mildly predictable. While the mother's getting involved, especially Yoshino Nara and possibly Tsume Inuzuka if someone hurt their kids. Also, their involvement would show Naruto that there are other people who care about him and can be trusted. It would be another milestone for him to experience and would introduce his friends to the kind of life he had and lead them to grow and mature. While on a broader scale it would show that the clan heads do respect Naruto as well, building more conflict in the story's political sphere, and bring a serious reassessment of the Konoha orphanage program. You have the final say in anything. I'm only sharing my idea here. The setting, characters and circumstances can all be changed. But the topic of the caretakers confronting Naruto and being metaphorically or literally cut-down or beat-down would be an extremely satisfying comeuppance. While the scene would also have some additional suspense if other people are going to be hurt or extra repercussions will be involved. Heck, you could even be sadistic and have the caretaker beat the children and take Naruto away before whomever was watching them returns. And make it a race against time to find him before something worse happens. I have one final question for you: will Hiruzen inform Tsukino about Jiraya as Naruto's godfather? With Kakashi being given primary custody if Tsukino dies, this would be a good place to explore the topic. Or, either Jiraya or Tsunade could return to Konoha and learn about the adoption. Concerning Tsunade, she likely did return to Konoha periodically for Shine to advance to Chunin and Jonin, and to confirm she was not leaving Hi no Kuni to become a rouge-nin. In this case, she could learn about Naruto, then update Jiraya during an encounter later on, leading hi mot return to Konoha and face the consequences of his decision not abandon Naruto. |
stardust chapter 15 . 2/4/2018 Great job on the relationship building. Gotta take it slow, but the small fluff once in a while is great, and adorable. |
