I never did get to read the end of this until this week. I’ve been so busy with work and such but I’m so glad I read the end of it!

I love love love your take on king Ashura character and how you tie in characters from RG Veda. Especially the fatherly worry and the guilt over the pheniox seal. So often people assume he’s evil and had bad intentions all along.

I think there is one more side story I need to read through perhaps but I thought I would make some suggestions? I would die of happiness if you continued to fallow Fai all the way through to when he leaves for his journey and seals Ashura. Like the war that might be starting with Arimaspea? Is fai going to play a roll in it? Could they really stop him from protecting the people of his home? What’s sweet Fai going to be like when he’s a teenager? Does he have any love interests? Is Ashura going to teach him how to world walk? What about when he creates Chi? How does he become the bubbly teasing Fai we all know and love?

I would also love too see more of Taishakuten. Since reading RG Veda he is one of my favorites and you portray his character to prerfecrion. I’m very sad that Kendappa is being married away as I love her too but it’s for the best *sobs*

The part where King Ashura contimplates stealing Sybilla since there will be no one to manage his house got me thinking... I’m sooooo interested to see if he ever does get married and who you choose for him!

This whole series is my absolute favorite of all time and I just really hope to see more adorable fatherly Ashura as well as cute cute Fai.

I am still in love with this. I reread the whole thing from Embracing Destiny to Like Sunshine from the 23rd to Christmas.

I hope you decide to continue with the drabbles, I love your portrayal of Ashura and lore behind Seresu.

So I just wanted to say this fanfic and choosing priorities is amazing. I could not put down my phone for the world. I had to keep reading. I loved how you portrayed Ashura and his relationship with Fai

Oh. Oh my heart. Fai, Yuui, child...
I knew this scene would happen, and I imaged it would be significant, accidental even...but Fai is not there yet for my head canon scenario..and I am okay with that-more than okay with that. Fai presenting that little forced gesture amidst of all Ashura's agony is breath taking in its innocence.

I can't believe I was lucky enough to be here to see the end of this! That makes me as happy as Ashura. :)

Fai really is so much what Ashura needs.

I love Ashura and Kendappa's dynamic in this chapter. Has she finally forgiven him for marrying her off?

Looks like Ashura's finally coming back to live in the present more than the future a bit. I notice that he doesn't even consider that bringing Sybilla and her children into the capital would effectively be a death sentence for them when the time comes - or at least, doesn't consider it yet.

Mann, Fai and all the wizards and everyone in court is so happy, it seems such a shame. It sort of feels like Ashura has captured all the misery in the country for himself. :P Sorta like a fisher king, in that way.

I have to ask, where do you get the names? (aside of RIG veda)

An update to this story...it's a Christmas miracle!

These last few chapters feel like a sucker punch to the gut, I felt sick with worry along with Ashura despite knowing how it all ends, and even now, Ashura's frazzled state of mind seems to bleed into my own. So very well down on the writing of these chapters! The long buildup is worth it for this climax :)

I was surprised to see the notification for this story, but glad! Poor Ashura, torn by so many conflicting desires for the present and the future. It's hard to believe that Fai is only nine, isn't it? Geez. Ashura's right, that's a terrible burden for any kid.

I wish I could give Ashura a hug.
