You seriously write the best canon-era depiction of Eponine and Montparnasse's relationship. So, so well done! I just love this piece and all of its follow ups a lot...I wish I had something more constructive to say...(lol) thank you for giving both characters believable and nuanced personalities. The imagery is gorgeous, the little plot lines are interesting, and you've captured the spirit of their twisted yet strangely adorable relationship perfectly. The banter is fun too, and it's intriguing to see things through Montparnasse's pov. If you ever get the urge to write more of these two, I'd read it in a heartbeat. :)

Oh shit, that was amazing. I love this story if I could. I would favorite it. I love this side of Montparnasse, and I love that only Eponine sees it, I love the bond/friendship/relationship that they share.

I absolutely adored this. I think you have their characters spot on for sure. You should write more Montparnasse/Eponine. I have an idea for one myself but I'm busy with my already started fic, but I'd love to read some more of yours!

I am glad that you were able to portray Montparnasse in a different light. Other fanfiction writers have the habit of give him the role of a hateful villain. But you were able to humanize him and it is beautifully done!
