So I LOVED this. It was heartbreakingly sad but so well written. And while I prefer the idea of a Amell/Cullen pairing, you made me a fan of Hawke/Cullen as well. You also made me a fan of your writing!

It was a wonderful story, a sad ending but a logical one (bet Hawke hates herself for telling Cullen that he should DO something, that backfire!) I read it without even know it was yours and when I saw it was from the same author from Knight's Bloom I realize why I loved it so much

Y'know, I'll admit, I normally really don't like these romance fics involving Cullen; I love the character and all, but I usually feel they make him... too soft.

I have no idea what it was about this one, but I found it enjoyable. Not because Cullen didn't go soft in the end, that wouldn't have made sense for a romance after all, but... you seemed to do a pretty good job of balancing his character. One of his aspects I always liked was his zeal in the first game, which then seemed to develop into a more tempered and reigned-in caution and professionalism in the second, and I think that was adequately portrayed here.

And maybe it's just because I don't dip too often into the genre, but I genuinely felt this story was suspenseful. I can't put my finger on why, but it's pretty rare that I find myself glued to a screen reading an entire story in a marathon run.

So... yeah. I liked it. I'm sure there's a bunch of other things I glossed over, but I think what made this stand out to me was that it was a little less sappy than most love stories I've read here. So I'm probably looking in the completely wrong section, but it's hard to go anywhere in here searching for Cullen centric fics that aren't romantic XD

Beautiful, funny and highly engaging. By far one of my favourite Cullen/FemHawke fics. In fact, I'm adding this one to my favourites list, something I rarely do.

Of course here I am loving another brilliant story by you! This one touched me deeply because I've gotten so attached to your Cullen and Hawke! The ending paragraph was a perfect finish and so sad! One of my favorites definitely :)

So good and sad and I wish he could have gone with her but this just make the story so much better! Maybe someday... After we fix things in DA3 right? XD

This was great. I knew it couldn't have a happy ending, but it didn't keep me from hoping against all hopes. Beautifully done.
