Pelowskin chapter 1 . 4/28/2013 Very cute and sweet :) |
DobbyLovesSocks chapter 1 . 3/10/2013 Meeeeeep! That was so cute! I never thought too much about Deamus, but I think I may have to start shipping it... ["It's reasonably springy, and it's best suited for beating a Death Eater's arse."] That was brilliant. xD I love how subtly you slip in bursts of humour in an otherwise serious fic. This was really well done, and I loved the way you wrote it. It was really well done, and seeing things from Seamus's point of view was interesting, something I haven't seen much of. Great job, Karyn! |
brandini861 chapter 1 . 3/9/2013 Is there going to be more? Love it |
yellow 14 chapter 1 . 2/15/2013 Really good little piece. "Only youcan make a painting explode" was brilliant;D Keep writing |
Cheeky Slytherin Lass chapter 1 . 2/11/2013 Welcome to the Deamus ship. We have art supplies and things that explode. Anyway! I loved this. I never really thought about Dean changing dramatically during his time on the run (except, obviously, that he'd be haunted), but you've made me consider him in a different light. Overall, very well written. A little edgy. Humorous. Sweet. All rolled into one. I applaud you. |
Someone aka Me chapter 1 . 2/10/2013 "Seriously, mate. Stop blowing shit up." I think I just died of laughter. Best. Dean line. Ever. EVER. Period. *giggles* I love your choice of setting here, because the intensity that adds to the entire scene is fabulous. I love the connection between them, and the desperation of the moment. Welcome aboard the ship, m'dear. It's a favorite of mine :) Thanks for your entry! |
MissingMommy chapter 1 . 2/7/2013 YOU WROTE US A DEAMUS! I love you for that. And I know it must've been tough writing something that you don't ship - though I did notice that you might be boarding the Deamus ship. (We welcome you aboard, Karyn.) But this turned out absolutely brilliant and amazing. You really captured Dean and Seamus. I adore the fact that there's a bit of light-heartedness to this. Even though they're in a middle of a war where their lives are on the line, they can still find something to laugh about, to calm their fears. Speaking of fears. The way that Seamus gets scared that Dean didn't win the fight was really great. And blowing up the painting? Only Seamus could've done it. He's an expert at blowing things up. But Dean's response to that is perfect. It makes it not as depressing as it could've been. And I like that. ["Red oak, dragon heartstring, ten and a quarter inches. It's reasonably springy, and it's best suited for beating a Death Eater's arse"] - While I question Seamus' ability to know exactly what wand type it is, this just made me giggle. I laughed pretty hard at this. And it was a genius way of using the "oak" prompt. I like the way that Dean sparks are red and gold. It shows that's he's a Gryffindor all the way. And the way that Dean wants to continue to use his fist but Seamus wants to know that he'll stand a fighting chance - no pun intended - is /them/. Also it was an excellent way of incorporating the "fists" prompt. When Dean and Seamus kissed, it just made me think of Ron and Hermione and that they were kissing in the middle of a war. But it was a great time for them to kiss, I have to admit. Most people tend to kiss right before they get attacked so that there's no regrets if the other person dies. SO it's definitely fitting that they kissed then. THe ending was brilliant. This whole thing was brilliant. You did wonderfully with all your prompts, even though we heard how much difficulty you were having with the word count. But this turned out so well. Great job! :D |
