This is my first time reviewing this fine fic. And when i finished the last available chapter i completely enjoyed it all but there is one thing i don't like and it's the pacing of the fic but everything is quite enjoyable and worth the read. Technical information, character inner monologs and details are making the pacing slow and quite a nuisance if not for the great drama, characters interactions with each other and understanding of them making the long explanation showing light for the readers, well for me at least. I don't know if everyone understands everything. Your humanizing of the characters are great, make them relatable in some aspects and not just teenage angst, bloody killings and everything in the world is against them. And Jim is my most favorite character of all because of his father like traits, desire for everyone's overall health, and his joking side and casual behavior.. But his recklessness and self-preservation is quite worrying for the kids and for me too. And giving another side of the story another character, Andy, makes the other side quite enjoyable as well. Hope you make another one soon but I'm not pushing you to make it take your time if you want, especially when the world is going shit and with your job makes it more hard to write.

Story is quite enjoyable so far, but please, chill out on capslocking words.

There sure are a lot of run-on sentences, as well as a heap of technical explanations, character POV swaps without warning, and flashbacks that really drag this story's pacing down to a crawl.
Not to mention the weird, extremely confusing and annoying way you divide your story up. Sometimes you add the line break after a single paragraph and interrupt conversation, other times it doesn't appear where regular line breaks and divides would occur.
Plus, most egregiously, is that 61 chapters in, with over half a million words, and we're still only in Day 5 after initial spread of the zombies.
At this rate, it'll take several million words to reach the point we saw in the first chapter.

Besides those complaints, it's a decent enough story, though its issues make getting through it a slog. I hope it improves, though.

I never understood why so few authors don't put a cap in Shido's ass. Everyone knows letting scum like that go without hacking off a limb or two always bites them in the ass.

Not gonna lie, I just read this entire thing in 3 days and my brain is fried, but dear God was it worth it. It's almost like if Tom Clancy wrote an anime, which I might very well be willing to pay decent money for. The way you expand the original plot of HOTD to include so much fascinating technical information about special operations and the military in general, along with a ton of firsthand info about first responders, which I especially appreciate as I have heard many stories from my father who was himself a police sergeant and SWAT sniper, amazes me. You and Andy have really given me the perfect fanfiction I was looking for and have sent me down several wiki articles along the dozens of chapters. I saw that some reviews criticized your heavy handed use of technical info, but for me, whose interest in guns and special forces is only slightly less obsessive than that of Kohta's, I have been soaking this stuff up like a sponge and loving every minute of it and I just want to say I can't wait for more, take all the time you need, and nothing you say will ever convince me that the MP5 is better than the Kriss Vector.

It's taken me nearly a full day, but i've finally gotten around to reading this chapter buddy!

As i said before chap; no matter how long the wait the chapters are always worth it. And i was right yet again, this new chapter was defo worth the wait lad. And hey, you weren't kidding about Saeko going bloody mental, i think anyone holding a sword to you is gonna make ya piss ya pants, good grief!

Really looking forward to seeing the next piece lad, if you've written a little extra to follow up after Jim and the kids start heading out from the tent...but i think i already know what comes next.

What i love about this fanfic is that your character isn't some OP Dude, but a human person that makes mistakes like other people.

Your story here, sir, is simply amazing. I mean most of the fic out there are either lemony or outright smut (Not that i mind anyway, if they have a decent plot and not rushing things out hehehe).

No more was there an anime world filled with laughaly ridiculous fictions. Yours was gritty and suspenseful and eye opening all at the same time.

One input tho, given that i'm just another fanfic readers. We all loves shipping. Its a real business here and i would appreciate if you can put some start on it in the next chapters. Now i understand if you have some reservations about that subject, but if you can actually pulled it of that would mean a shitload to me and all of us as readers.

While i'm here i might have just said that this story you've written is just amazing. Gritty, suspenseful, funny, and just eye opening all in the same time.

But then i just could not betray myself as a fanfic readers in regard to the fact that we fucking love ahipping and its a real business here. Just some fluff would be greatly appreciated since i kinda get the feeling that you have some reservations about this subject. But let me tell you something, it means a great deal to us and some great stories i've read before was some of the things that keep me going through life.
