This story of yours is simply breathtaking! It's been years since I've seen a good fanfiction here - and yours is a real printed book quality! I hope it gets many hundreds of reviews.

What I started reading, I was suspicious at first. Blond girl, large breasts, blue eyes and a Mary name all screamed Mary Sue. Hmm.

However! You proved me absolutely wrong. Your character is beyond deep, philosophical and has the disregard of humans that I truly understand. You completely threw me off my feet there. I love it.

The Mary/Agents/Resistance development is VERY believable. She doubts both sides, especially the almost cult-esque/religious Morpheus approach. Which I myself always hated. Morpheus never actually gave them a free fair choice, he always toyed with Neo & co - until there was no way back to the Matrix.

You nailed the concept of "free choice" perfectly! There is no such thing as "free choice", as long as you are choosing from the limited options, such as life itself presents to us - because you can never go beyond life, beyond the Matrix.

Anyway.

The Mary/Smith interaction is epic. Much more intense and realistic than most of the fanfictions here. The Chess Game was a huge foreplay, I'd say. And yet. You keep it platonic, the sexual tension is there (although Mary regards herself as asexual), it's definitely there. She is attacted to him, he is probably attracted to her, without realizing it. Nice touch with the Illuminati joke by the way.

We see Smith here in the begining of his "career", and he will grow. I am glad that you will expand him too.

The idea of Mary not choosing either Resistance nor Agents is interesting. She has doubts in both, which is again very realistic. Mary discovering the true nature (she cannot be killed), the ploy with Merovingian, the battle won by the Agents is so intense, one cannot stop reading.

So on with the story! You are doing a terrific job and I will be following it.

This story is amazing! It deserves 1000 reviews! I am thrilled and hooked beoyond words. I truly hope that you will continue writing. And one day become a published author. Such talent mustn't be wasted.

I paused halfway through reading this because I just needed to tell you that this is a very exciting chapter already and I love, love, LOVE it and couldn't wait until I finished reading to tell you so. I've spotted a couple of minor spelling mistakes, the one that comes to mind immediately is "Smith's frown deepen" and I'm sure you meant deepened. So far so good, I'm leaving this mid-chapter review anonymous so that I can leave a signed one when I finish.

Wow! Your FIRST fanfic ever? I am utterly impressed! You have massive talent here and your writing is flawless! You must become a published writer one day. Your potential is amazing. Much respect.
