That was so beautiful ! Very sad, but beautiful. I just love stories about brothers, and even if Merle is really a terrible person I never really hated him beacouse of his love for Daryl.
You really get the characters right, and the plot was heartbreaking ! Great story

Great story...sad ending! Sometimes I wish that Daryl, Carol & Merle could've somehow been split off from the others and could be out on their own. I haven't seen all of your stories, so maybe you've written something like that...but if you haven't, you should! :)

its a good story, I enjoyed it. Nice sequel overall. but the switching of POVs was really confusing. First Merle was helping Carol escape, then he was out Woodbury with Daryl and Rick's gone, then Carol was in Woodbury alone escaping. Its just confusing.

Great! again with the swearing but i liked it. more of the quiet conversations between carol and the brothers is nice, maybe throw in one of the other characters to talk to carol for a bit, just so we can see her headspace around someone else..? :D keen for the next chapter

whoa. so, i don't think the Dixon's swear half as much as what's written. I can see it's to be true to the characters, but it tended to more just chock up the sentences and make it hard to get through. so apart from that i didn't mind this chapter :)

Wow...what an ending. Read through these chapters in a hurry...loved Promise and was equally satisfied with this little fic. Great job on it! Definitely came to love Merle a little more :D
