As bad as it is,i'm glad Gwen didn't get punished for it,I don't think she could handle it. Why are people saying she's a bitch or they never liked her anyway? (Ok, only 2 people said something about Gwen but still) she just made a mistake, her dad died recently, and she was grieving, it's not like she wanted him to get in trouble, or take the blame for her.

what was the point of your story? Merlin got whipped. are is a coward. Gwen is a bitch. Why you wrote a story that serves no purpose? I just wasted my time looking for a plot.

An interesting turn and an extreme overreaction on Uther's part. This showed a lot of control and restraint on Merlin's part too I would imagine. Thank you for posting this!

Very, very angsty, and very, very, very good! The only criticism I have is that the internal, parenthetical author's notes are very distracting from the story itself. My advice would be to not worry about explaining things within the story; trust in your own writing skills and creativity to explain (because you certainly have plenty of that!), and then, if you still feel an explanation needs to be made, maybe explain in a note before or after the chapter, but not within the story itself. The story itself was incredible, and I thank you profusely for writing it, and better yet, for sharing it with us! Bravo! :)

This was amazing

I know it's been a while since you wrote this...but you know what would be awesome? A sequel with all the peasant knights (ie Elyan, Gwaine, Lancelot) finding out about this all happening.

I would love to see Leon's reaction to the scares when he sees them for the first time. I would also like to see Gwaine, Lance, Perce, Leon and Arthur go hunting or something and Merlin has to take his shirt off and the only ones that know about the scares are Arthur and Leon. Their reactions would be interesting.

What amazes me is that the Merlin-gets-flogged idea isn't a new one. This isn't the only story of a Merlin whipping I've read. But gods, I've never cried like that to another one. The imagery was beautiful and terrible all at once. I rarely leave reviews, but I had to tell you. Job well done.
