Reviews for The Raven's Blade II: Durin's Bane
glenwo2 chapter 14 . 8/14
Wish there was a chapter dedicated to Nori and Dori getting torn apart by Goblins or Orcs. It would be the first time I'd be cheering for the Goblins or Orcs
Lady Red 88 chapter 9 . 7/12/2018
Ah yes - now that I have read a bit further I see that you have Elladan and Elrohir back to front to the usual presumed order. It is never mentioned who was born first but Elladan is always (as far as I’ve noted) listed before Elrohir when speaking of the 2 together in text and he is also listed before Elrohir in the family tree draw in The Silmarillion. Hence, Elladan is presumed to be the eldest.

In other news - yes, actually enjoying reading this tale. great to see someone had the guts to write this terrific crossover!
Lady Red 88 chapter 1 . 7/11/2018
I’ll hold comment for now because I am a little confused about Elrohir being ‘King’. Elrond was only ever a lord so I am confused why Elrohir is a king. Also, Elladan is the older brother so should be lord as opposed to Elrohir. However, as a writer we all take a little poetic license so I am sure I may find out further down the track what the go is.
Ava chapter 26 . 3/3/2017
wow! this was amazing! I cant wait for them to meet again! and Kili's journey back to Ered Luin... on to the next one! then the next... XD
Ava chapter 19 . 3/2/2017
I love that Kili is so good at smithying... (if that is what you call it...?) great so far... chp20
Ava chapter 8 . 3/2/2017
woah... Kili IS Thorins son... that's a big change! (A good one though, it seems to fit.) I love how everything from the first book is coming together in this... though I suppose because of Boromirs backwards time travel that's why Kili made these swords and not Thorin? or did Kili make them originally? I know a lot must have changed... obviously because it was Dori not Bilbo captured by the trolls. I wonder what else will change, I hope not too much, though I cant say I would be to sad to have Fili live, that would be hard though because of the prev. story. Nothing of the sort would've happened, so I suppose it is how it should be with him dead. :(
anyway... onto the story! (chp.8)
Ava chapter 4 . 3/1/2017
THIS IS SO AMAZING! I remember reading about this idea at the end of A Distant Light... glad you used it! cant wait for more! finally he gets to meet FILI!
Ava chapter 3 . 3/1/2017
Wait... I thought that if one of the three dies, then all of them die, right? So how can Boromir sacrifice his life for Kili's, wouldn't Kili and Faramir die too; because of the dragon brother bond?
WhistlingWolf chapter 26 . 11/24/2015
3 Truly, my heart is crying at the moment though I am still happy.. They will meet again, and in a way it was necessary so destiny had a chance to unfold once again.

Thank you for writing this amazing piece, I loved it! I reread The Raven's Blade, this time the rewritten version. I loved the old one, it was such a good story, however, the new one is even better. Nothing of the original story was lost, there were only more details fitted in. More explanations, thoughts and happenings enriching the story lifting it up to a whole new level.

Thank you for writing! Going on to read more of our lovely lad with story nr.3
Rasha The Dark chapter 2 . 8/21/2015

Samwise the Strong chapter 11 . 2/22/2015
Great! Now we know about the brand. Everything. But Ori. So sad. Enjoying reading this, just as I enjoyed the first. Thank you!
LadyDeb1970 chapter 26 . 12/20/2014
Oh my. I found your story, quite by accident, and when I realized it had my two favorite Tolkien characters in it (Boromir and Thorin), I couldn't pass it up. I've thoroughly enjoyed this journey. One thing, though ... Kadan? Is that another name for Thrain, or is Kadan just a dwarf driven mad by everything he and his kin endured? Outstanding work!
ladygris chapter 26 . 9/3/2014
What a fitting final chapter to this story! All of the plots and subplots are wrapped up with a neat bow, but the hardest part is before our heroes. Living, moving on in life. Dwalin will be okay once he's had a chance to grieve. Kili, too, though his stoicism worries me. There has to be a time of breaking for him. Not mourning, but a moment when he lets it all go for a few minutes while he heals. Knowing that Boromir lived his life backwards and will be born at the right time...That has got to be a difficult burden to bear.

Thank you for another wonderful AU! While I cried at the end-I'm not as strong as Kili-it was understandable and beautifully written!
