Generally I avoid genderbender fics, I consider them as unneccessary OOCness in a fic but I'm glad I read this, it really is quite amusing

I think the only question that would get rid of the majority of that lasting resentment is What would Uther have done if Merlin was revealed as a girl. Arthur would understand much better why Merlin remained hidden during that time at the very least. Either that or Merlin has to be wounded a little more grievously for the matter to settle in the prats mind.
