I think you hit Shelby's moods/emotions full on. I also like how you described the abuse but didn't get into it.
I noticed some spelling mistakes, but overall, I really enjoyed this piece. I would love a follow-up, maybe about Shelby's and Scott's relationship?

This was soo sad higher ground is like one of the best shows ever eventhough it has been cancelled though think that shelby would have been a bit more closed off I think you did a great job though.

It's been a while since I've read a good higher ground story, i think that you did really well. Shelby is one of my favorite characters on the show and in my opignion you've understood her really well. :) I would really like to read more of it. I think that there is a lot of roads you can go down from here and I hope that you will be able to post another chapter soon. ;)

I just dropped by to see if there were any new stories and yes gladly there were and this was one of them. I really like the story and how you have written it. Shelby is my favorite character, so I am always up for a sequel and would be happy to read it.
