Gotta say that this story was quite good, the way you captured Mamoru's one-sided feelings was very believable and in term with how I always see him around Maria in the anime. Him was a case of selfless devotion, yea? A few run-on sentences but overall, it was worth it.

it's quite sad really that Mamoru loves Maria so much but he knows that Maria will never look at him the way that Maria looks at Saki with so much love. maybe in the end Maria learned to love Mamoru but we'll never know if she really loved Mamoru as much as Mamoru loved her

I was disappointed to see only 2-3 stories in the SSY category, but this story certainly made up for it! I love your writing, and the comparisons you use. I think you really tapped into Mamoru, which is great thing, because he is one of the characters who people just keep forgetting, although he played a greater role in the story.
