This story is really, really good. A bit over the top, strange and confusing, but in an awesome way.

Is it me, or is Shepards battlecry inspired by the dwarfgunner from Warcraft 3?

Oh, that is so strange and ridiculous. I know that time can and will change a story both IRL and in fiction to extreme, strange and/or even ironic or hypocritic degrees, but what you did here takes that to a new level... I think I busted something from laughing :)...
Now I'm really curious what the hell happened in the time between Shepards last memory and his awakening.

Wait, will other ME races like the Elcor, Volus, Hanar, Drell, Rachni, Raloi, Yahg or Protheans make an appearance? With their genetic memory the Rachni would still remember Shepard. And what happened to the Geth? Are they still around?

A medieval version of Mass Effect (like Warhammer Fantasy is to Warhammer 40k). That's... a surprisingly interesting idea. I've never seen that done before, so props to you for originality :). I can actually see the Krogans being a mix between Berserkers and Dwarfs (wielding HUGE twohanded weapons singlehanded and wear thick Armor and sometimes even shields), the Turians being a lot like the Roman Legions, the Quarians a mix of Technomages and Saracens (wielding curved Blades and Bows, combined with their Clothes), the Asari resembling a mix between Amazons and medieval Knights (or Palladins to be more correct), the Salarians being a mix of mages, scientists and rogues and the Humans being the stereotipical medieval Humans...
Now I'm curious if there are other Stories out there who put ME in a medieval/fantasy world.

Hey, can I use this as a backdrop for a D&D campaign? Half my players want a home brew Mass Effect campaign, and the other half want to play straight 5th edition.

this isn't a comedy but I was laughing my ass off during the stories.

Please continue this story, I have never read a story a interesting as this.

It seems as though Miranda and all her cronies enacted some grand magical (technological?) scheme to reduce the universe to a pre-industrial state.

Like I said in my previous review, quite different. I am interested to see how Shepard's actions and ideologies influence the state of those around him.

Its actually surprising that no-one (at least to my knowledge) has a reinterpretation of ME as an iron age/medieval story. I do hope you are going to continue the story. Looks like its going to be awesome.

One or two things?
How is the face that 'shepard' is a navy man going to influence the story? as in was he part of the medieval navy or has technology and so on regressed from a space age level to what is going on now?

Update...Seriously...Update! this so Far is most Unique Mass Effect Story I have read. Things have turned back to Swords and Magic time (Middle Ages), Wrex, Grunt, Pakara, Garrus, Liara, Miranda, Kasumi And Co have been turned/made themselves to be a Gods...Reapers are Devils? this is Quite hilarious, especially how people react how Shepard lives and Talks.

Is Samara also made some kind of God? Protective God of Asari Justicars? and What about Joker and Jacob? they also deserves something...especially Joker! And EDI...What Happened Joke's Girlfriend? the AI?

Cannot wait to see where you are taking this story...and just what Happened after Shepard Told Star Child to literally Fuck You and punched him into Face.

It's probably an indoctrinated dream made to convince Shepard to pick an option given to him via the Catalyst.
