Just read the first two chapters of this story in a row and I am hooked. The fact that you, according to your profile, have for now retired from writing is tragic.

You combine elements from the Evangelion mythos and Marvel together in a truly inspiring way. There are dozens of stories in this AU you created.

I especially liked what you did with Kihl. Not only do you give him a backstory, but you also make him human. You show us where he comes from and how he many years of eing a monsters victim made him a monster himself.

Giving Shinji Magnetos powers however, I don't know. Seems to me telekinesis like Tetsuo in Akira would have been a better choice.

So far this story is a masterpiece and I need to find the time to read the rest also.

I love the story, but there's a huge flaw in it (Up to the point just before DAYS OF DOOM, at least, where I am).

Shinji and Asuka. For all that you say that they're friends and like siblings, they have had almost zero interactions up to now in the story. It's a major case of telling, but not showing, which you're usually great at avoiding. Looking only at what has actually happened and their actual conversations, not at what they say the other is to them, they look like people who are little more than acquaintances. A little bit closer, but even calling them just friends, much less siblings, would be a big stretch.

Getting possessive over Shinji when you're sleeping with Mari (honestly, there was very little protest there)? You must be getting straight A in Hypocrisy 101.

I think I'm going to stop reading here, at first I thought that you were taking the time to introduce all the important characters in their own way so that the story would progress, once you did I expected the story to switch between the characters in a fair manner so that all persepectives were told.

They're not, not even remotely.

At first your focus on specific characters wasn't all that bad, if a little boring, but having now finished the 7th chapter I KNOW that it's not going to get better.

Hikari is NOT an interesting character, and she becomes an even less interesting character when your shoving her down my throat rather than actually exploring other characters, who actually ARE interesting, it's gotten to the point where I was actually skimming your story that she was so incredibly annoying, in an attempt to find Shinji, or Asuka, or Gendo.

It's just frustrating to read, that your so intent on focusing on this specific character rather than anyone else that's actually interesting, as much as I love the character Spider-man, he's not a very interesting character at his core, not really, once you've established that he's got a massive guilt complex that's responsible for him becoming a hero, and the fact that he's got an unlucky lovelife, but he becomes even MORE unintresting when she's forced on me with such a bland character that it hurts, Shit with sprinkles is STILL SHIT! Especially when the specific character who's supposed to be Spider-man doesn't have ANY REASON to become a hero beyond "Plot".

An Asuka that's the daughter of Doom? That sounds awesome.

A Misato that's over Kaji, sounds like an interesting story.

Shinji with the power over magnetism? That could be an entire story in itself.

Instead your shoving Hikari down my throat and rather than start to connect with her character, it's making me like her, and your story, even less.

I wouldn't have any problem if it was fair in its different perspectives, but this entire story has been 60% Hikari, 20% Asuka, 10% Gendo, 5% Toji, 4% Rei and 1% Shinji, and its just not interesting to me.

So as it is, this is as far as I can go while interested, but perhaps you should take Shinji out of the main character tags, because I've seen less of him in this story than anyone.

Feels like such a waste to have a potentially captivating character in Shinji, who is possibly the reincarnation of a morally ambiguous Holocaust survivor, which would then create moral problems in future for Shinji and his mental state, or a Lesbian Asuka who is the daughter of Doom and seems to be emotionally conflicted on personal matters, or a rebellious Rei without interference from Shinji.

Instead most of the story is comprised of Mary-sue Hikari, which wouldn't be a problem really if she weren't in the story so fucking much.

This may come of as harsh, rude and generally unnecessary, but I just spent a good chunk of my life that ill never get back reading mostly about a character i find less interesting than "Perfect Princess Hermione Granger" when I thought I was going to get a Marvel universe, I think I'm entitled to a little bit of arsholery.

The thing that makes Spider-man so interesting is, even when he's not the "Deepest" character, is that he is no where near perfect, and that's evident because the very reason he became a hero is because of him.

Something to think about I guess.

I like the idea that Asuka's mother took Doom's place, but I'm sorry, the "I am your father" line is way too overdone.
