I can see Edgar like this. It's not my take on him, I like him with that little bit of optimism left, even if it's just to rip it away again(!) but I can see this being how he ends up, when the vampires have finally taken everything from him. Lovely. (In a sad way)

Very angsty and depressing, but seems very much like how Edgar would feel, what would go threw his head. I like.

I'd imagine a vampire hunters life would be lonely and bitter road, that could make a person into the things they hate. And a bad childhood would make it even worse.
