Oh geez...poor bastard

First off, I'm really sorry to have not reviewed this earlier, was caught up in my own fanfics. Secondly, I love love love how you portrayed Kaito in this. He's serious and understanding and also thinks much about Shinichi and doesn't care about only his own wants, but about Shinichi too. He knows that Shinichi might not want to do whatever he's insinuating in his inebriated state and Kaito loves Shinichi enough to respect that. Thanks for this lovely piece. I really loved it.

A drunken Shinichi is dangerous XD

Oh wow, nicely done You are very good at doing various types of fics with very different moods. This one has a decidedly darker tone - partially because Shinichi's friends appear to be too stupid to think about the fact that getting him drunk and having him potentially sleep with Kaito might not be something he'd be happy with the following day and so he might stop considering them friends or thinking that maybe his friends just don't care. It's a little late for Ran to start thinking about the fact Shinichi might get hurt AFTER she has helped place him in that position. Shinichi (and his idiot friends) are just lucky Kaito has more self control and might want more than a one night stand.

There is also a darker, sadder tone introduced by the suggestion that Shinichi has things he doesn't want to remember and doesn't want people to know he has dealt with and is still carrying with him. His drunken response to Kaito is sad as well because it's hurtful for Kaito to hear but Shinichi is so used to holding people at bay over personal things that it just fits

KAito's wants and thoughts being in conflict with what he knows he should do are well done and the potential for things to slip the wrong way runs through here but then he shuts the door on them in a very "in-character" way. It's sweet but sad at the same time and there is frustration there as well XD Nicely done MOre in this verse (a darker version of Apartment-verse?) would be fun :3

It's amazing how Kaito can be portrayed as either very wise, serious and patient or very childish, playful and impatient and it still works well either way without making him go OOC. I like Kaito's internal struggle and Shinichi why are you... XD Not being helpful at all The last bit must be my most favourite thing in this fic - Kaito didn't give any lie or excuse for rejecting Shinichi's offer even if he could; normally people would, right? At least a "No thanks" would suffice - but here Kaito only replied with a "No". This bit speaks so much of his choice and his determination. I love that.

Mental image of Shinichi being a clever drunk is both cute and hilarious :D
