it's interesting that morgana lies to gwen - it resonates with merlin lying to arthur so often... i have this thought that merlin is sick due to some screw-up with his magic...

This is a very unique story, and I like the one-of-a-kind story line so far.

Please update soon. Just noticed this story today, read through all of it, and it's pretty interesting. As as for Merlin having magic, can he actually express it, or is it just present but not really there?

well i hope that Merlin opens up to Morgana soon, i really think that if they talked more they could understand thing better about Morgana and Merlin life. i really hope Arthur change not soon but sometime.

I always thought that in the first season, Merlin was 19, Arthur was 21, and Morgana was 22

I loved this chapter :)
Anyway, in the first season of Merlin when he arrives in Camelot he is 18, while Arthur is almost 21.
21 is when in those time you "came of age", so when Arthur became Crown Prince it was because he was 21 years old.
Morgana should be... 23?
Although, I think that there's a chance that's Morgana may be younger than Arthur.
I mean, Utger said that her mother was alone and, since he was married to Igrayne, I think that's her conceivement was after the Queen's death.
I like to think that Morgana is 18, like Merlin, or 19/20, just for the sake of 'Mergana'.
Anyway, any wait for the next update!

Awww poor merlin love the story I think it's really interesting

I didn't find Gwen shallow or ignorant. Merlin lives in a world she doesn't understand. I would react the same way in her place. The fact that she was willing to study and be a psychiatrist so that she could understand him a bit more says a lot about what a caring,loving and committed person she is. Even her taking Morgana in. So shallow and ignorant no she isn't.

Hmm, I think Merlin is like you said 18, however Morgana should be about 22, 23 something like that. Because int he second season Arthur celebrates his 21st (Of Age ceremony). Or it's totally possible that she is younger than Arthur. Nevertheless, Merlin is very childlike for an 18 year old, but I suppose suffering from a mental disability can do things to you. Cheers
