first chapter was awesome but the second sucked balls. according to the first chapter naruto isn't very smart nor is he a complete idiot either. he's somewhere in the middle and seems to have common sense which others seems to lack and yet in the 2nd chapter he throws everything out of the window and shows how much of a "dobe" he really is.

Short chapter but I didn't see anything wrong with it, it was very good and well worded, so keep up the good work. I'm guess that Naruto is going to be a better student, maybe he could get private lessons with Iruka or could ask the Hokage for a special tutor like Anko she's always fun on top of Iruka. Have Naruto start exercising and eating right more though don't get rid of the Ramen. Keep up the good work!

something that makes naruto seem like a push over
he doesn't stick to his guns, well he does but he doesnt. he should have pressed the hokage for more information and at least ask about a inharatence.

So far so good, I see much potential for this story, and hope you continue it. I like that name Ameko, but please expand on her as I got the gist of what you where trying to say about why she was helping him get books, but not the reason why or how Naruto knows her. I'm assuming for the Ninja academy though you haven't said so please expand. Good story so far!

Yes it would totally be that easy to access all of konohas techniques... and kushina being married to minato was a secret, it wouldn't be in the books..
