Lord Peter is one of my favourite literary characters and "Murder Must Advertise" one of Sayers' best books. What was going through his mind when in the Harlequin persona is not explored deeply in the book but deserves to be. A neat little triplet of pieces.

It's good. It gives just the sort of detail for each of the personas that are obvious yet somewhat missing in the book.
And I laughed at the last sentence.

Just a little critique: the part "a costly suit that had one wearing too many before being cleaned" seems a bit off. I'm not exactly sure what it is really supposed to be, but I suspect this wording is not correct; something seems to be missing.
