SonicDragon1302 chapter 1 . 7/11/2015 Its not often that a story brings me to actual tears, the kind where I'm left sniffling and wondering; what if? This was beautiful and haunting. Qui-Gons final speech to Obi-Wan was just perfect and I loved it. I do really wish Qui-Gon had lived but I can see how he had to die, I just wish he hadn't. Oh well I love this and thank you for bringing this into the world! |
Stormcutter684 chapter 1 . 12/15/2014 Awww. *sniffs* sad but nice. Emotional. I like it! I was so sad when Qui died. And I can bet Obi was too. This fanfic is exactly what I need. Such loving master/padawan fluff and love! |
Qwae29 chapter 1 . 6/2/2014 Truly beautiful... haunting and authentic. Well done. |
J. Rodd chapter 1 . 12/1/2013 aww...how cute is that?! XD |
BladedBlossom chapter 1 . 11/13/2013 Ah, the catharsis. *smiles* Loved Qui-Gon's monologue to the sleeping Obi-Wan. Shame Obi-Wan will never know of it, since Anakin was sworn to secrecy. Bah. However, Anakin's reasons for eavesdropping did sound like him. Justifying wrong actions is something Anakin is very good at. Given that Qui-Gon didn't want to let go of Obi-Wan, it seems odd that he would now wish to keep his distance and not help Obi-Wan through his transition from Padawan to Knight. I did a version of this fic in my fic, "Divergence," which makes a bit more sense to me in terms of fanon. Essentially, my idea was that it simply wasn't the will of the Force to allow the dead to converse with the living. The way I see it, there was a collaboration between Yoda and Qui-Gon to enable that conversing, and that was what Yoda taught Obi-Wan. Quibbles aside, this fic did still touch my heart. |
delete-account-please 5149757 chapter 1 . 11/5/2013 excellent story it was very cute! |
delete-account-please 4171342 chapter 1 . 11/2/2013 Really good story it was cute |
Someone chapter 1 . 9/9/2013 Excellent story. It does make sense that Qui-Gon knew that the battle was his time to go. It explains why he didn't wait for Obi-Wan - if Obi-Wan had been killed instead, the galaxy would be in a dreadful state. It's nice to know Qui-Gon was still there, even when Obi-Wan felt most alone. The same is true of many situations - no one is ever truly alone, no matter how much they may feel like it. Very well-written. I may end up going through your other Star Wars stories in the near future. |
HazySunray chapter 1 . 6/13/2013 Still makes me cry. This is like the tenth time I've read this and it still brings tears to my eyes. It's so beautifully written and it's just bitterly heart-wrenching in such a sweet way. Great job! |
