That was great i really liked the way that played out. i would love to see you keep going with it i know its probably been a while but this story is beautiful. Realistic yet cute and sensible at the same time very nice job

Nice story. It's a pretty interesting take on Cortana coming back as a human, and all the restrictions of a human body.

Oh, man, this was heart-breaking and heart-warming all at once. It was so sad, much like the game itself, but also very well done. Like you, Halo 4 broke my heart and proved to me that while I love the series, I primarily love Cortana and Master Chief. To my shock, I actually have no interest in Halo 5 whatsoever with Cortana gone. Your story is so beautiful and touching, it made me feel a bit better, though.

Just got round to reading your story and can certainly understand the disappointment of losing your story to a busted comp.

It's due to a similar experience for me that I now use a netbook to do my writing and back up my work on google docs AND a separate back up on pen-drive :)

Ok as to the review of the story itself. I love the way you seem to have gotten their characters interacting. The lead up to them getting together was spot on in my opinion.

The overall pacing of the story was quite well done, but I think you could have expanded more on the 'learning how to be a human' aspect of it. but I guess that's just me, I like good struggle with good/happy ending stories.

I am going to put this on my fave/follow list in the hopes that if you are ever inspired to continue this fic I won't miss the updates :)

You cant... just... grrr! You cant just end an awesome Master Chief and Cortana story like that! Keep it going! Pllleeeaaassseee?! This is the best Halo story I have read! SO PLEASE make the Earth blow up or something! Just keep it going! I think no one in their rightmind would care if Earth was blown up for Cortana and Master Chief! Right?

Very, very nice. This is one of the best Halo AU's I've read in a while. Your version of the SPARTAN program is particularly interesting, as it actually seems more plausible than the cannon SPARTAN IV program. Also, you managed to keep all the characters in character throughout the entire story. Good job!
