I'm just sitting here, grinning and smiling at the screen and this brilliant piece of writing. Which, obviously, it is.
I remember a long, long time ago when you sent a document to me titled 'forrest fic' which I think was the beginning of wonderful little story and I'm *so* excited and happy you decided to finish and post it. I LOVE their banter, you seriously write it so well it just makes me want to happy dance. Then again, you kind of write everything well. Like that ending. I actually physically waved my hands in the air of excitement. (I assume watching me read your stories could be quite amusing). It was perfect. As was the whole thing. :)
I've really missed your wonderful writing (and you, too) so waking up to find this great new story by you in my inbox was a really pleasant surprise. (and by 'really pleasant surprise' I obviously mean: DFGH;KSJDFHGJKDHSF THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER *DANCES BLISSFULLY THROUGH A GORGEOUS MEADOW SINGING SOUND OF MUSIC SONGS WITH MY HANDS IN THE AIR*). But you got that, I assume.

I'm fairly sure the prompt was something about forest and fairies but seeing as though I was mostly out of it when that occurred, I forgive the lack of fairy. Good life choice. Also you replaced the fairy with sweaty white t-shirt Beckett. That pretty much covers it.
This was worth the like, year long wait. Because you mixed a hyper Castle with a grumpy but not actually grumpy Beckett with aliens and pretty mental images and then a lack of Alexis yet her being the reasoning behind the whole alien adventure. And then you just made all of it endearing and I love you. And funny. I still giggle over this and I've read it a heck of a lot and you're just brilliant.
"If that happens, I'll fight the alien forces with you." - who would have thought that A) that line would come out of Beckett's mouth and B) a line like that could be so ridiculously romantic in the way the Beckett and Castle only know how.
Basically you're a fantastically clever duckling who proves that listening to my gabba yabba is actually beneficial because it helps produce awesomeness like this. No but really, amazing job, Em. Really really really.
You already know what I think about your writing. You'll tire of me if I keep repeating myself but you should never stop writing and telling stories. That would just be unfair.

Ohhh, I miss them before they were together. I didn't realize how much until I read this. This was great! Thank you for sharing it here.
