Hmmm... The story is interesting, but there is something that puts me off. Now, before I state it, know that it is merely my opinion, and in all honesty? It likely won't change the way I feel about this story. While the chapters are short, and time can be an issue, I am unsure as to why you haven't also gone back and edited, changed, adapted, expanded, fixed up the story now that it is complete. Now, I know that time can be deceiving as well, considering that if you have actually edited the chapters, it does not show it unless stated in author's notes etc. But the biggest thing, was how drawn out and long the telling of Luke's past was done. I feel it should have either been more vague or compressed into just enough to state an understanding, or, that it should have been changed into a single chapter so as it didn't irritate people with all the breaks in between. But I should stop rambling. Loved reading the story, and I shall be moving on to the sequel. Take care

Going back to one of my earlier reviews. In your AU did the Jedi order know of Anikan and padmes wedding. And also in the prequels mace disliked to the point of hated Anikan. Why would he feel any thing more than that hatred for his son?

I like how you show Vader being tormented by his past. It gives a whole new vibe to the dark side.

Vader is an insanely powerful Sith Lord. He is known for using the force to wield a lightsaber. So the fact that he is holding back means that he is savoring Tarkins humiliation. This fic is awesome.

In your au were the Jedi aware of Anikan and padmes marriage? Because mace hates Anikan in the prequels. He should hate his sone even more.

I agree that Kenobi would be more haunted about Vader . If he truly felt that Anikan was his brother, then he’d never just leave it at “more man than machine”.
