omg. like omg. I am crying. No bawling. But with a smile on my face? That ending put a smile on my face . It was a such a bittersweet. I loved the angst but I love the sense of hope that this fic left me with at the end.

"She wishes, again, that she loved this boy, the one in front of her." and the line that followed gave me this optimism. I was thinking : Maybe in this other life, they'll get it right. No heartaches or delays.

Can I just hug you? And make you a cup of tea and bake you cookies (though I am not that good in the kitchen so that is probably not the best idea). This is incredible. Absolutely amazing!
I serieously cried during the first paragraphs, you described Éponine's life so accurate and I can just imagine her growing skinnier and skinnier and imagining a life with Marius, only to have him fall for Cosette. My heart was aching for her. And then her wish, god I wished she did too. I wished she loved Enjolras instead of Marius, I don't know if the novel would have been any better but I think they match each other better.
And while I was reading, I became more and more scared of the ending. But the ending is so beautiful, with the smiles and love and awww. She smiles back and he has an emotion in his eyes that she can not define because she has never seen someone look at her like that because he freaking loves her.
Wow, this is a long review. I just have a lot of feelings and whenever I watch the movie I'll come back here and read your fic because it makes me happy and it makes the ending of the movie more tolerable. So thank you for writing this. I really enjoyed reading it. And I'm sorry for the long review, I hope you don't mind.

This was lovely. The whole 'yellow jacket' metaphor is simply beautiful, as the rest of the story. You really have a talent for writing – you get Eponine's character exceptionally well and you made me want to cry towards the end. I loved how you got how Eponine changed from the days when she was her parents' little girl to the barricades. I just – gahhh, I can't seem to be able to type a proper review because this story has given me so many Eponine feels and I just want to curl up in a ball and die.

But yeah – I need more fics from you. You're a truly brilliant author.
