nyle chapter 1 . 5/22/2014 its good but dosent anser the question |
sass box chapter 1 . 1/25/2013 I'm not normally much of a Jo fan, but I must say, I did love this! You wrote her so well, and perfectly captured a mother's feelings toward her daughter, as well as the teenage daughter/mom dynamic. |
UrbanMuse chapter 1 . 1/21/2013 For some odd reason, I couldn't for the life of me recall how epi 7.12 ended and I had to go back and watch it again. And yes, I can truly see how that case, that interaction with the mother, would have instilled in Jo the deep desire to just forget work for a while and focus on her kids. To make sure that line of mother-daughter communication was still open. I'm so glad Ellie is showing those perceptive traits of her mother's, and using them to figure out that Jo really, truly needs her companionship, her love, her presence as a child, right now - no hugging in public rule be damned! I loved that last scene-Jo trying to tell herself not to worry until she needs to. But let's face it, sometimes that's too late. The parent's job is to worry about everything, regardless whether it materializes. Your final sentence sums it up perfectly - at some point, worrying aside, you just have to believe and trust in each other. |
Mahala chapter 1 . 1/21/2013 Very true. A mother's job to always worry about her children. Reminds me so much of my relationship with my mother, and now my relationship with my son. The no-hugging-in-public rule is spot on. Nicely Done. |
kitara251 chapter 1 . 1/18/2013 I wish the producers of the show would add more Jo and Ellie moments like this but alas, still a wonderfully written story :) |
