Reviews for The Strongest Bond
Sona14 chapter 2 . 4/21/2018
i like it how you discribed the bonds Obi-Wan had and their differences. The part of the role model was also a wonderful tie and showed how deep one conversation can influence the whole life of someone else. It's inspirering. Good work!

Fantastic story loved the idea someone asking if they had a strong bond but that what Obi-Wan knew.

Absolutely heartbreaking, but somehow at the same time comforting. Interesting mix of those two feelings. It's sad that so many really good people were killed like that. Like everyone, they made mistakes - but most of them, I think, were at least partially aware of them and trying to fix them.
It seems very fitting that Obi-Wan would first receive from this girl the message that Qui-Gon is proud of him, and then from Yoda that she's happy now. I think he needed to know that. After all, even if she only talked with him once, that one conversation changed his life.
Someone chapter 1 . 9/23/2013
I like this chapter. Obi-Wan needed that encouragement, and I can see how this padawan would be instantly drawn to his story. She's a great character.
I feel kind of sorry for Obi-Wan, not being able to see his master there - but I'm glad he was still given the message. Lynn is a very deep thinker for someone her age.
BladedBlossom chapter 1 . 8/26/2013
"Meditate." To mediate is a very different activity. A lot of people seem to make this error.

Agreed that Anakin didn't have the loyalty to Obi-Wan that Luke had. Good parallel between Obi-Wan and Luke and how both redeemed their Masters and proved they could train apprentices very well.

Not sure Obi-Wan was passive. I think he was actually quite strict - maybe too much so. He didn't have the experience to soften or moderate his displeasure and I think he simply could not love Anakin purely because he actually rejected him for training and would not have chosen him if he'd had his way. The relationship was simply imperfect on both sides. But without Obi-Wan's training, I'm pretty sure Anakin would have been irredeemable, since Palpatine would have had total control very early. It was Obi-Wan who held Anakin to the Light through is Padawan years.

Aside from technical errors like spelling, okay story.

Yes. I can well imagine Qui-Gon wanting to be with Obi-Wan, to be able to touch him again. Of course, he'd want Obi-Wan to live as long as possible, but certainly, a small part of him would miss him terribly, even if he's watching constantly.
