| TheRedScreech chapter 9 . 7/22/2018 I ripped through this and I am just in awe. It's so brutal and gorgeous and heartbreaking and beautiful! I love it! I love that Thorin made the right choice and postponed the quest to heal, and now they can take back the mountain with an army at their heels. I nearly panicked when Thorin said that a handful of gold was worth a life - and that Kili heard him! Geez, I feared the worst! This made me so sad and so happy at the end! I wish there was more, but I am content with what you've written because it is just so beautifully done! Thank you so much for writing! |

| ncis-lady chapter 9 . 7/9/2015 Oops. I guess I spent my lunch break reading the whole story. I really enjoyed it (in a rather morbid kind of way) and I like the way the events led to an alternate ending in which the company didn't have to face Smaug on their own. Poor Fili, he didn't deserve this, but yes he's right - he could have met a worse fate... at least he's alive. |
