Really liked this! A well-written little piece that contains character and imagery and symbolism and all the things I like :)

Typo: "than as well." "Then as well"?

I'm particularly taken with Deenie's admission that things were perfect now, and her regrets are pretty much because she longs not for something necessarily better, just something she was used to.

The last two lines have a fantastic impact, like a two-part punch. I'm wondering if some of the other sentence fragments and one-sentence lines could be combined earlier in the piece, to emphasise those last two, but it all works quite well as it is. Nicely done :)
