Lovely moment for Hiko and Kenshin (and Megumi and Kaoru, but the focus is clearly on the father/son pair.) One wonders, if Kenshin hadn't left, would Hiko have found a way to communicate his love before being Kenshin's first kill? What would Kenshin's life have been like if his first victim hadn't been a political assassination, but the man who raised him? Harsh concept. Given that it played out as it did, will Hiko continue his odd, mostly hermit life or will he decide that since he's "dead" after passing on his secrets, it's time to find someone he can tolerate and settle down to enjoy his modest riches?

touching and poignant... even though in her painting is a male doctor this very much fits hiko's expression therein and the emotions in his facial expression.
