Guest chapter 1 . 5/29 Sam should have let Dean know he was leaving. You wouldn’t just up and leave without letting your parents know. Good parents would be freaking out! And Dean throwing away the amulet was rightfully done because Sam just showed he had no room for Dean in Heaven. |
Everything4Everyone chapter 1 . 6/30/2019 This is amazing! |
earlyable chapter 1 . 6/23/2014 THIS SHOULD BE CANON! I totally felt like this at the end of that episode and then Dean threw away the necklace after Cas left an they never DEALT with anything that was brought up. This is now my head!canon and no one can tell me this didn't happen. |
Guest chapter 1 . 1/27/2014 THANK YOU for realizing what most don't seem to. I love the both of them equally, but more often then not I find myself defending Sam. I know they're probably never going to fix the amulet thing in the show, or the Stanford thing, but I'm very glad that you did :). Awesome story. |
Skydiver1 chapter 1 . 2/24/2013 I've never understood why Sam leaving for college is seen as this great betrayal of Dean. It's not as if Dean couldn't have swung by Palo Alto and visited Sam whenever he wanted to. I agree, it's ridiculous the way the show itself holds Sam responsible for everything and gives everyone else a free pass. (Cas, I'm looking at you!) |
ILB chapter 1 . 1/25/2013 Interesting approach to the relationship of the two. Id love to read more. |
K Hanna Korossy chapter 1 . 1/12/2013 I definitely agree with you about the Sam-bashing. It gets ridiculous sometimes, and that's from the writers of the show, too, not just the Dean fans. But I don't agree with you about all your points. Dean clearly told Sam he was proud of him for leaving as far back as Scarecrow. To be fair, he's never brought it up again on his own, and as for the penny's curse making him bring up all of Sam's old mistakes, well, Dean still has every right to ache over those memories even if he also understands and forgives. You're right that Sam had a right to go to school. But what's the excuse for not looking for Dean when he wasn't even sure Dean wasn't dead and not just unconscious somewhere? Sam's not perfect either. He's made some bad choices, some of them his fault and some of them really not. And Dean has, too. They're both flawed and human and sometimes petty. But they love each other, and I think that's always clear, too. And that's why the bashing is pointless, because Dean wouldn't approve of it anymore than Sam would. I wish they would have this out, though. Your story is something I would have loved to have seen happen. |
LaPotatoFairy chapter 1 . 1/11/2013 I love this! Poor Sam and Dean. |
Guest chapter 1 . 1/11/2013 Nice! I do hope that they work it out! |
CandyCakes chapter 1 . 1/11/2013 I'll be honest, when I first read the A/N I almost didn't read your story because I thought it was going to be a lot of Dean bashing. But I'm glad that I looked past that because I would have miss a great story. This is long overdue on the show, the guys need to sit down and talk about their issues. Good job, really enjoyed the story! |
mipib2 chapter 1 . 1/11/2013 This was very good, the communication (or rather lack of) and how Dean misconstrues Sam's reactions and the resolution at the end. Sam gets Dean, knows he has to wait him out until he is ready to listen, and the minefield that the fix-it conversation is - I felt this was totally believable, came across very well here and the tone was good, not too saccharine but also conveying their love / care for each other. |
sylvia37 chapter 1 . 1/11/2013 How nice would it be if they actually had a real conversation about this stuff? If Sam really got to tell Dean how much some of the stuff that's gone on hurt him TOO. It's really a fantasy of mine, but I know it will never happen so that's why I read fanfic. Thanks for the great job. |
nycorrall chapter 1 . 1/10/2013 Aw. Sweet bromance! |
