I loved this series, and would honestly love more if you ever felt like adding to it. Thanks for sharing!
Guest chapter 7 . 12/23/2019
Put down the instrument down & beat the holey sh*t outta him, John. I want them to remain together, leaving John behind like that hurts in so many ways. Despite Sherlock's noble, understandable jesture & I know he went through some crap too. It would've been easier & would've been done faster with John. "I did to protect you John! I couldn't bear to see you hurt or killed!" This is just an idiotic excuse. John can take care of himself & Sherlock. If John died with Sherlock that's fine with him & he would be glad to go for a great cause & by his choice. However, his choice was taken from him. Others made it for him like he is a child. Okay Sherlock would be devastated by John's loss, but as I mentioned John's choice (I'd rather they go together or close to it if it comes to that - never, they're immortal). Okay I had to rant. I do like your story. It's the Fall I have a great issue with.

CaffeinatedInsomniac23 chapter 7 . 5/13/2018
Oh my god you just HAD to leave it there. You crass bastard.

In all seriousness though, you’ve really managed to blow me away with how much dedication you’ve put into this!

I am SO GLAD that I stumbled upon your stories! I found a link to one of them on a reddit post and thought “Well why not kill a half-hour?”

Mate. You’re a wonder!
CaffeinatedInsomniac23 chapter 5 . 5/13/2018
As someone who has (somehow) managed to see part of a violin get made, I can assure you that it really does take months to get one finished - although some take years.

The guy making them actually worked his way around the shop and played one ‘type’ of violin. They were all the same size, made of the same type and age of wood, they had been waxed with the same technique, and they had been moulded in the same way.

And would you believe it? They all sounded different.

So this, this really hits home. I play the piano, and I can still tell you that every piano is different.

I know nothing about the finer points of making any kind of instrument, but you really got the feel for it down. Well done.

Forever beautiful 12187 chapter 7 . 8/2/2016
You need to write more! The intriguing nature of your writing and in depth descriptions give life to the stories and suggest that you, yourself , are knowledgable about wood working. You should highly consider writing more of this wood workers saga. I find it the most intriguing. It can also help show how John reacted to Sherlock and how they interstate back into life together at 221B. Well done.
MugetsuPipefox chapter 7 . 3/20/2016
Damnit I want more! XD
This is definitely one of my favourites so far and it's making me feel guilty about my own violin, sitting silently in its case back at my dad's place because it's owned by a woman who was never taught to play it. The first thing I'm doing after graduating uni this year is getting violin lessons. Expensie as hell or not.
Beautiful!
