You can't see it, but I've a HUGE grin on my face right now. This was such a brilliantly written story. I usually hate OC stories - with a passion - but I fell in love with Emily right from the start. I think it's because you didn't turn it into a crushing-on-Dick-butt or anything, not even once. There was a teeny bit of oh-my-he's-handsome, but that's a given to anyone who meets Dick. Anyhow, I just thought you should know I love this little three-shot of yours. Thank you for posting and sharing it!

I like Emily. Almost thought Consolidated was real and searched for it.

From the summary, I didn't see how writing from a real-time timeline would make much difference, but I liked how you made it important to the story after all! The throwaway references to historical events were interesting, and it was neat that Emily was so nervous because of her previous encounters with McCarthyism. Dick is the perfect person to make her feel at ease in her new job. :) I liked seeing adult Dick working at a civilian job, and his dad's company no less. Nice work slipping in some Bruce/Dick fluff, too!

This was so awesome! I love Dick and how charming he can be. This is by far one of my fav stories by you. It really brings out all the very best in the Bat universe and yes, that era was made of stupid. :D
