| Auntleona0 chapter 1 . 8/11/2013 I don't want you to take this as anything other than constructive criticism because I don't like leaving flames, but I had to quit this story when it became clear that a deep seated hatred of certain women was going to be a running theme. You start off by shaming women for making different clothing decisions and then add in an unbelievably catty Karin to forward the plot. Most fanfictions that do this have a problem where there lead protagonist turns into a Mary Sue as a result because they start to represent the ultimate idea of what a woman is supposed to be like. When your definition of femininity is so restrictive that only your lead can inhabit it, you are entering Mary Sue territory. I wish you the best and hope you grow as a writer in the future. |
