I had been checking for an update on this story for years and finally gave up. I don't know why or how it poped up in my mind again a few days ago...and here it was! Thank you for finishing this story! Hope to read an other one of you sometime in the future.

I found out that this story was finished and read it through. It started as a rather funny piece but then got rapidly serious and on a rather cosmic scale.

I would tend to agree with the general notion that the Ministry does indeed work to its own ends and not to the ends or protection of those who they are suppose to. Pity that an otherwise straight shooter like Kingsley got bogged down in that.

You used the bond idea well here, though I still admit my distaste for the concept in general. I still feel LeQuin's 'Healing Hermione' truly shows the pitfalls in the trope. I suspect they will run into some of those shortcomings eventually.

Pity about Ginny. Still, canon gave plenty of examples that the Weasleys are weak in resisting mind magic. At least Molly, Rom and Ginny. This was sort of a logical conclusion.

Good last chapter, the funeral was very touching, with the sorrow and yet a hope to step into a renewed life. I've always thought Luna is good with Ron (also with Nevelle-maybe here as a business partner.

I think that Harry should lose no sleep over the concessions the Ministry gives regarding their new home. By my accounting, the Mintistry owe Harry three times over. In 1981, 1998 and again in 2010 (World Cups are in even-numbered years, after all).

Looking beyond, I hope they make sure that their children (at least two, though I hope for more) connect with children their own age and don't enter Hogwarts like their parents, alone and unsocialized. Far better to have friends and peers already on the Express.

All told, a story well worth rereading and keeping as a favorite.
