Interresting idea.

An alternate thing about the name of Jack's daemon: "mors, mortis" is Latin for death, and a- is a common prefix (several meanings, one of which negates the root e.g. atypical), so Amoriacould be seen as without death/not dead/etc. Appropriate, no?
