This was beautiful. Although it's never fun to see our Ron cry, it's nice to know that sometimes he can't be as strong as he would like to be...making him human. And Hermione will always be his shoulder to cry on when he needs it, and vice versa. Thanks for sharing!

I absolutely love this! It's so sad and beautiful and just wonderfully written. I had so many favourite parts that I won't list them all, just a few. For instance, "And sometimes, okay is all you can ask for." and "He needed this torture to stop. He needed to hurt something as much as he was hurting." because they're pieces of truth, universal and reassuring to read. You capture the vulnerability and insecurity that the war left behind, but you also manage to suggest that hope is real, and I really like it.

One little point: in all of canon, Fleur has an exaggerated French accent. You have the words spot on, but perhaps her pronunciation could be a little more in character?
Still, this doesn't mean I didn't love it.

Thanks for a happy FF lol...but really Ron losing it especially over Hermione's near death/losing her mind and Freds death was so excruciatingly sad to read...like I said, you are an awesome writer.

Totally loved this "It just takes a minute to remember the good sometimes."

Not bad in the least for a few hours of music on repeat.

That said... Your Ron is so in character - volatile, yet prideful. Throw in that Hermione is there to help him cope and grow and overcome. It's rather fitting in your world that they would have to learn and deal.

This is probably my favourite thing of yours that I've read so far. It's just Ron feels en masse. Favourite parts were either the walking around Hogwarts, the bit with Bill or the last one. All of it showed the squidgy centre Ron has but tries to hide and how he really grew up throughout '98. At first he's a complete mess who doubts everything and even though it's hard, he learns that keeping stuff in, like he did with the locket, isn't the best way to go about things. I like that by the end of it he is sort of comfortable crying in front of Hermione.

Oh and the kiss at the end was adorable. Yay for them being okay and as normal as possible!

This is so sad! I completely agree with you saying that Fred would have hated his funeral. There doesn't seem to be a way to say goodbye to him in a way he would have approved. Maybe... I don't know. Ron understandably cries a lot. His veunerability was nice and I really liked reading the breaking locket part from his POV.
