DarkKing009 chapter 1 . 3/12/2017 a good take on Azula & Zuko |
kittenxxkisses chapter 1 . 5/4/2013 This is a really interesting insight to the Zuko-Azula sibling thing. It's also really well written (as is your thing...wow, these reviews are getting really redundant, aren't they?) I really like the "fighting over scraps of prestige like starved dogs". it's such an apt metaphor. kat xx |
Alabaster86 chapter 1 . 2/24/2013 Very insightful piece. I like the second line very much. Her feelings of loneliness and the pressures of being the one child there for Ozai to focus on make sense and it gives Azula a bit of humanity. Her desire to be a little girl again hints at a life not as wonderful as she expected or wants. Something is lacking and she doesn't know what. Zuko makes her uncomfortable, his honesty, his raw emotions, hsi guilt etc. I'm sure she questioned her decision to offer Zuko his 'honour' more than once. Well done! |
great gospel chapter 1 . 1/10/2013 Sibling relationships are one of my favourite things to speculate on, and Zuko and Azula certainly take the cake. The complexities of their positions and relationship are all present here, and you pulled it off rather well. I like the tiny beat of uncertainty in the usually so confident and composed Azula. Nicely done. |
blinkenlights n spitzensparks chapter 1 . 1/7/2013 These two have such a wonderfully complex relationship. I especially love your descriptions of Zuko's scar, and the comparison of their rivalry to starved dogs fighting over scraps. The environment in which they grew up in certainly is one of blood and steel - I mean apparently it was entirely acceptable for Ozai to burn half of his son's face off without any repercussions. Considering all of this it really is interesting to consider the factors which led to these two turning out to have such drastically different destinies, when they could have easily turned to be one and the same. Great job on this! |
