I want to see Ayakya, too, Im curious as to how youll handle that part of the plotline, and it actually fits in REALLY well with the timeframe. Honestly, though, I hope youre not TOO hard on her. I dont love Ayaka all that much myself, but she gets it way too hard in fanfiction. I think there could be an interesting relationship between Edward and Anna, and she could be a very interesting character.

I like this chapter. There are times when the setting seems to fade away, but its natrual since youre concentrating on the characters rght now and theyre basically the same. Which is actually a good thing.

Oh, one thing I forget to say in my rehash of my eaten review for the pervious chapter, I like how youre trying to use time accurate language! If you still need suggestions, I have a few. The words daft for stupid, silly, or unright in the head and bloody, which we all know were used a lot. Thats all I got, Im out of inspiration p

Boo! I wrote this MASSIVE review for this chapter but then my computer ATE it! Okay, Ill rewrite it *grumble*

I talked about a small point of contention with me and this fic that you should know about. You mentioned earlier that you were aware of the fact that homosexuality was looked down on in the 1910s. The penalty for being found out was usually something called excommunication, which essentially meant that you could never live as a normal person ever again, because the church had disstanced you from the rest of society figuritively.

Now, Im glad you knew this, but there is a LOT of shounen-ai in this fic consdiereing the time frame. Saunders has a crush on Tohmas, Hugh has a crush on Stuart, Stuart has a crush on Edward, Youve promised Reece and Timothy will have a something later on .. really, I cant see it all for the timeframe.

In the citrusy scented section, for example, you say that Edward "hadn’t slept with many men, maybe just two or three, but he had to admit that he liked them much better". IF Edward could have admitted, even to HIMSELF, that he liked men, the possibility of finding another man to practice on is .. slim. To find two or three? I know that its generally thought that Yuki is more experienced than Shuichi and thus actually knew what he was doing the first time, but I think, realistically, Edward would have been just as inexperienced as Stuart in this respect. (They probably would have had to think a bit to plan where to "put" it, I doubt it was as well knwon then as it is know.)

So maybe watch it on the amount of shounen-ai in it? I mean, its GRAVI, so its all in character, but its not really .. in setting, you know? Whatever.

Oh, and you called Reece Swift Reece Savage once this chapter, near the beginning. Understandable. You basically have Gravitations chracters and a whole knew cast of names.

BUT, all constructive critisim aside! This is a really great fic! Its still, like, my favorite Gravi fanfiction! So, so good! I love the way the situation between Stuart and Ask is going ("they called themselves Ask for some god-forsaken reason" lol). Very appropirate, once again, the parrells between writings musicals and music are very, very good and time relevant! I love this! I do! Im wondering when Suguru is going to show up, I love that uptight oldman-boy.

I loved the scene where Reece was playing with the teddy bears on Mariannes bed and calling her Annie! So cute! So Ryuichi! And when he was feeding Teddy the chips! So, has Kumagarou been replaced with "Teddy"? If so, I kind of like it. It gets across the same feeling, has a catchy name, and is way more likely for a guy in England to name his rabbit. Poor, poor opium addicted Marianne ..

And despite the line about his level of experience in the field, you did very, very good at the limey part. Still very in charatcer, although this was a lot more like the manga version of how it worked than the anime version. I alwyas preferred the anime version of this scene .. Yuki was SUCH a jerk in the manga. Can anybody say "rape?"

Love how you still manage to get in the parallel between Ryuichi and Shuichi. Great to have it there, it was an important part of Shuichis canon success, so it should be part of Stuarts!

Edward chuckled – Thomas would love that headline. "Famous Romance Novelist Killed in His Sleep by Runaway Tree." That would just make his day. Maybe he’d keep the tree after all.

For some reason I LOVE this line. It is so Yuki. Very cool, I really like it.

The scene with the two men sitting alone with the candlelight, though, was the best of the chapter. I could see it in Gravitation, I really could. The dialogue, the atmosphere, the characterization .. it was perfect! I hope Stuart keeps calling him Young though .. it had kind of grown on me.

You provide a lot of nice details as well, painting the interiors, exteriors and charas with words.

I'm Almost glad I haven't seen this fanfic before today..it means I had 17 wonderful chapters to go through...
Anyways..forgive me for that. I've read a ton of the gravi fandom, but this one was one of those that stick out in my head, instead of the standard stuf you generally tend to see. I really like how this is all Yuki's writings in a book (Or should I say Mr. Youngs? *laughs*)
It's interesting to see how closely this story sometimes follows the original story, while at other times it takes so many liberties. I must say, I also really like the England setting, too. It's just so..out there.
I'm not sure I like their names being changed, but I understand why they were, obviously, so *shrugs* Other than that minor detail, I'm absolutely Loving this story! *waves little flags*
Hm...If it's not too late to change your mind, I'd vote Hiro and Suguru. I'm not really into Hiro and Noriko, and there's the two facts that 1: You've already created Hiro's character to be at least bi, if not gay, and 2: Noriko's married, both in the original storyline nad this one. However, it's your choice, not mine. Other than that, I'm enjoying all of your pairings. . Maybe, if you'd be so kind, we could see some Tohma/Seguchi action, too? *puppy eyes*
Ah! Another thing! I love how long your chapters are! Too many authors will have 40 chapters, but each chapters only a page or two long. *pouts*

I think the transition from Ryuichi to Reece was actually very well done. True, a lot of Ryuichis specific blend of humor relies on the Japanese language to abck it up, but I think youve done a very good job with it! Hes still all cute and clingy and stuff! And random! Like the carriage part! I loved that! How Tohmas couldnt tell is he liked carriages or hated them.

If Im right that the reason K has a british accent even though he was raised in New York refers to the fact that K has a Japanese accent even though he was raised in New York in the anime, then youre brilliant. OR I could just be hallucinating and looking way too deep. p

This chapter was, like, exactly like the anime in a majorly cool way. I was worried over how you were going to handle the whole "This is Shuichi, we have a date, isnt he a CUTIE?" thing, since Marianne would probably drag Edward to a confesional for penance instead of just walk away like Mika did. But you did it very well! Im glad! Youre being very, very respectful to the time period and I really love it.

I cant say I really like the Hugh/Stuart undertones, though, mostly because Im, like, the only Gravi fan who will argue into the grave that Hiro never loved Shuichi, and that he is 100% straight. Still, it doesnt take away from the story at all.

Honestly, I think that you keep Edward/Yuki very, very well in character. Hugh, too. They are all acting exactly as a bunch of Victorian versions of themselves would act! Its a good! Very good! I like it!
