Wow. I am a bit ashamed now to admit that I almost didn’t read this because of the blurb, it seemed a bit dry to me.

But after reading the whole thing I realize how can you possibly have described this amazing story in just a few sentences?

I was always so fascinated by the Doctor and River’s story, not because of the romance part really, but just the idea of two people who keep meeting out of order and are lifetime friends.

I always wished they would have done a spin-off mini series telling the Doctor and River’s story. Like maybe 5 of 6 eps.

The crossover is what I would have wanted to see in that spin-off. I love it so much! I am about to read the sequel.

You know, it just occurred to me that you would be great at writing the story of River song, from the “Lets Kill Hitler” ep until “The Husbands of River Song”

I bet you could even do an amazing job with making it an spn crossover with Dean, similar but not tied to these stories.

I would read that.

Great ending.

The Doctor saved Dean. But it didn't go particularly well. The voodoo queen may not have survived. Another death to haunt the Doctor. The Doctor is alone again. Dean felt the clutches of death. River knows she can't help the Doctor. Despair all around. Pathos rules.

The voodoo queen decided to dispose of Dean. Seeing as he couldn't take out River that isn't surprising. The Doctor is going to have to save him. Come on Doctor.

Definitely sympathetic 'magic'. Dean's answer would not be accepted by the Doctor. So, what are they going to do?

So he was set up. And he has visual memories? If they don't get out of town soon he'll be nailed for multiple homicide. Sounds like St Louis.

Dean has to sacrifice for the mission, sniff. He could still be walking into a trap. They are probably walking into a trap. It's not catch 22. Maybe a total screwup?

They are working the same case, as usual. The Doctor needs a sceptic on board, helps him keep perspective. The show usually focuses on the out of the ordinary cases. This should be good.

It finally took the TARDIS to convince Dean it was the Doctor. Good research.

River Song isn't seen enough. She's always in and out. Either way he hadn't seen either before. I like.

The Doctor knows he'll see Dean again. At what point in Dean's timeline, I'm thinking future, I'll have to see. Good job on the Sam/Dean interaction.

Genetically identcal vessels all dying at once. Didn't see that one coming. But it does make sense. At least the Doctor can get Dean out of the cave. Isn't Sam brilliant?

The Doctor is awesome. What jas Dean planned? Probably a way to kill it. Which the Doctor wouldn't approve.

Do one of Sam's professors is an alien and a monster expert. He got offended when the yamacuma was mentioned. So it's either the professor or someone he knows. Possibly a mate or progeny.

So it is a giant snake, okay. It's intelligent and deadly and arrived here recently. How are they going to find it? Good swerve. Sometimes the best villains are exactly what you expect.
