Reviews for Entanglement
Guest chapter 2 . 2/21/2017
The first ending is depressing. I chose the second one, and when I went back to read the first one, I saw a drastic change. This is really cool.
Cat Fishy chapter 3 . 3/7/2015
I like the second ending better. :P

Excellent story
Indigo Tantarian chapter 3 . 2/3/2013
Hm, I read this before, possibly on Tumblr, but I don't remember if I said anything about it.

This is so wonderful. Of course I prefer the second ending... But both are full of so many strong feelings. I love your characterizations of both Chell and Doug, I think they're exactly spot-on.

no no no no NO NO NO AHH

Okay I should have been prepared for this cause I sorta knew right away when I read that there would be two endings what it might entail but AHH

CHELL NO CHELL

Ahh, my heart. Still perfect, though! Well done.
renegademechanic chapter 3 . 2/2/2013
Oh, AWW so sweet. :3 I loved this ending. Chell bandaging him, d'aaaw. Just all of it. Going to read the other though, just cause!
renegademechanic chapter 1 . 2/2/2013
Okay. Wow. WOW! AAAAH. Wurm, I love the way you write Chell in this. So. Much. She is so lovely and so very in-character (duh, of course your Chell is) and skdjk I love her sassy little grin when she DOES escape from GLaDOS, and speaking of GLaDOS, you've got her down perfectly, too (of course).

I love Chell's surprise at finding the little den here. Doug's lines are great, too. Exactly what I'd imagine. Only one thing-up until about halfway through this part I automatically assumed that this was taking place during Portal 1 (whoops) because Chell didn't seem to have seen a Rat den before.

So beautiful, the description of Chell walking within the back areas of Aperture, with the dripping water and all. One of my favorite parts of the games was the journeys back there, especially in the ruins, and it is one of my favorite favorite things to write. (I hope it's not silly of me to say that this part reminds me of a chapter in my own fic, one that I really really miss working on). I recall you saying you liked writing scenery, too, and it shows!

And I lovelovelove that Chell doesn't know the drawings are of her! It crossed my mind before that she probably wouldn't, but I'm so glad to finally read a fic about it. "A swell of envy for the nameless woman rises in her before she can suppress it." Yes. Perfect.

kdskjsds Chell's realization that HE'S THE ARTIST just wow :D

WURM WHAT CHAPTER DO I CHOOSE PLS TELL ME OMG

(You write so beautifully. I am jealous. Great job! :D) -favorited-
LimitedEternity chapter 3 . 1/28/2013
I'm going with the second ending because Chell has had so much crap thrown at hher that she could use a break! I loved that she was unsure and hesitant just like anyone would be and I like the two ending option as well, even if the first one is decidedly unhappy.
Silverstreams chapter 3 . 1/3/2013
Oh my goodness.
No words can express my love for this story.
I love how INTENSE the beginning is-in fact, I've read this twice just because there's so much emotion in your writing. Ahhhhh.
Thank you so much for writing this story.

Also, you used one of my favorite quotes from Lab Rat, and I especially love how you explored how Rattmann was in fact both alive and dead through your two options-until the reader opens the box.
Anonymous chapter 1 . 1/3/2013
Dude, this is... amazing. I'm not a big fan of ChellxRattmann, but the second ending is written well enough that it's plausible. Personally, I prefer the first ending. You've characterized Chell very well, and her apparent misunderstanding of the situation is expressed very nicely. Just her tenacity after discovering her one source of hope wasn't real is astounding, and I really think that the Chell you've written will find her way out. Thanks for a wonderfully written story. :)
Pluto the ninth chapter 3 . 12/30/2012
Interesting. The first one was much more realistic, though leaving one with disappointment in response to the conclusions Chell reached. The second left one with a sense of it being too-good-to-be-true backlash, undermining the happiness of it all. Allover though, it was very nice and well worth reading.

Sincerely and with my Deepest Respects,
-The Guilty Bystander
