Aaaah! Damn, I read your story in one go or so (I began reading it yesterday to be honest) and now, as always when I love a story, I'm disappointed because I reached the end and I want to continue reading, being in the world you imagined (even if helped by Victor Hugo and the Disney production). True, the rape scene was... hard to read, to say the least but you made us overcome this fact in order to know if the odds would be, one day, in their favor. The only single little detail I don't particularly like is the number of chapters but I love long stories, long fanfictions (as we say in French, on ne change pas une équipe qui gagne !) so I don't blame you, don't worry. I hope you will write down your epilogue and post it one day. I really look forward to read it but, for now, let me tell you I loved your story and I can only suggest you to continue writing.

I watched the movie again and it really helped me appreciate the first few chapters. I love this exchange and his declaration of love. Frollo's desperation and internal torment over his feelings are really what make this pairing so compelling.

*sigh* That was so wonderful. Yes, you managed to keep them very in-character. All of the love making scenes were hot. I could see Frollo being forceful in the beginning until coming around because of his love for her. And I loved Esmeralda's playfulness. Favorite fic of this fandom, and it's no surprise it has the highest number of reviews! 3

I love how cunning antoine is and how he gets his info. I get into those snakey characters. I would love to read the epilogue though and find out about their babies.

Amazing story! The plot was great, with all the drama and romance. Their time during the storm in the Notre Dame with their talks and the kids etc was perfect and started to understand the other, until that terrible night. Frollo was really misguided and although the marriage didn't start well at all, they made a new start. Her part at the food station and her whole behaviour was wonderful. Antoine was a horrible man. It's good the ordeal of Esmeralda ended well , Frollo understood his mistake and it enforced the feelings of the couple.

This is like the Beauty and the Beast. I love it
