late as hell but this was the freaking cutest thing EVER! i legit had to pause and compose myself, you really got me right in the heart. the characters were on point, matured in the right way as i think they would be with what time had passed. so so good! thank you for this!

i loved this fic even before i read any of it. i NEVER see any of Vanessa Carlton's newer songs on here. all anybody uses is a thousand miles and she has so many other songs that are so much better. thank you so much for actually using one of her good songs. this song is great and fits the characters perfectly.

I don't think they are OOC at all! I picture Jesse saying "W-what?" in the same face as he had when astounded at Beca's riff-off rap, and saying "Will you put on the ring now?" with the same face as he had when he asked if he could get her a drink on hood night. I think it is great - and Beca is a softy at heart, so I could see her totally having this thought. Great story!

I love it. :) My favorite part is when Jesse said, "That way if people ask if I'm ever going to put a ring on it, you can flip them off," but asked not to do that to his mother.

But yeah, I like it. It's kinda sad that it's a one-shot, but at the same time, it's okay, because it just is.

I wish I could capture Beca's character as well as you. I don't find it the least bit OOC, just the opposite really. This is exactly what I could see a happy Beca and Jesse aging into. You should continue to write this pairing so I can stop imagining and trying myself. This fic and you just win.
